Many young adults are engaged in a search for meaningful connection. As one student recently said, “I don’t like it when people say we’re so connected today through social media and technology. It’s communication but not real connection.”

In this newsletter, Marybeth reflects on the connections that students are finding through their involvement with Open Circle. As well, Richa, who facilitates one of our weekly volunteer groups, describes the significant relationships that she has built with a Grade 3 class, and how she is inspired to help children by continuing to volunteer and through her future occupation. And Christina talks about what she has learned about poverty in Hamilton through service and discussion with her volunteer group. Continuing from our August newsletter, we include more alumni greetings from our 10 Year Anniversary with their perspectives on what Open Circle meant to them and how it continues to contribute to their lives.
