Transitions. They happen in big and small ways. Each day moves from dawn to afternoon to evening, as do our lives. The transition of spring all about us is mirrored in the many graduating students we know who are moving on to blossom wherever they put down roots. For us, this is a time of letting go and of anticipation as we wonder where their next steps will take them. This spring, we met individually with graduating students to hear how they imagine their involvement in Student Open Circles will continue to shape their lives. Here are some of the reflections we heard:

"My volunteer placement and my role as a volunteer group facilitator made me deeply question the choices I had made for my future and reconsider what I want out of my life.”

“Everyone should have this experience. My involvement has brought out the best in me (even my Mom sees the difference!) and has taught me to be really connected to people around me, to see the good in all people and give them a chance. I am taking with me a deeper sense of who I am and how to live out of my values.”

“I feel like I’m just a better person. I don’t know who I’d be if I wasn’t part of Open Circle and CVA.”

Thank you for your support and encouragement as we walk with students through the transitions of young adulthood and engage them in transformational experiences.
