Online Homework Help for Youth

One recent immigrant high school student attended another virtual homework club during the COVID lock-down. When that went back to in-person, they could no longer attend because of work schedule and distance. When this virtual homework club became available because of Student Open Circles volunteers, the youth was excited to join. Being in their last year of high school, they are working on boosting their grades to get into university. They are a hard worker, but struggle with English as they are still learning it as a second language. The consistent weekly help from SOC volunteers has allowed this youth to gain confidence in their English and learn more about what to expect in the transition to post-secondary.

I am very happy with the volunteers’ support, and I have had a chance to get many of my assignments done. The SOC group made me excited for homework.
